7th Grade Reflection

When I first arrived in August, I expected it to be easy. But as the weeks came along I realized this is going to take some work. By October my life consisted of school, sports and homework. I would get up early for school and head to volleyball then I would go to school. Next I would come home from school and go straight to cheer. Then I would complete my home work and watch dance moms. That was my everyday school life. in 7th grade I learned to go to bed early, do you homework in wct, and to study for learning checks. I learned all of Therese the hard way! As the Ayer comes to a close I can only stress enough for 8th grade. If I had to do it over again I would defiantly study for LC’s! My advice for next years 7tn graders is do your HOMEWORK!!!

First Impression

The first day of kindergarten. New school, new teacher, new friends. I walked through the doors that spelled out in bright bold letters FOREST TRAIL ELEMENTARY. I nervously made my way into Mrs. Linders Kindergarten room. As I stepped through her doors my eyes shot towards a girl screaming, crying and kicking her name was Julia McIntyre. My best friend all through elementary school and Middle School. That was my first impression on one of my best friends.

Spring

Spring

When the cold, harsh winter has given its last breath,
When the sky above shows life instead of death,
When the claws, reaching to the frozen sky becomes decorated with
leaves,
When the animals-long in hiding- scurry from trees,
We know winter has ended.

When the frost on grass is replaced with sweet dew,
When the fields become dotted with flowers, reminding me of you,
When the lonely silence becomes filled with melodies,
When you feel warm air, erasing bad memories
We know winter has ended.

When the hard, bare ground becomes painted with green,
When the frost-bitten air becomes fresh and clean,
When the coats and boots are all stored away,
When the playgrounds become occupied again with child’s play,
We know winter has ended.

When you hear the pleasant sound of children’s laughter,
When the air is filled with joy- long sought after,
When the world is filled with sunlight, brighter and longer,
When the song of Mother Nature becomes stronger and stranger,
Spring has begun.

I love this poem because I love spring a million times better than winter so, I can really relate to this poem. Winter is cold, dry and dull when spring is happy, sunny and warm.

Media And A Memory

When I was little I just couldn’t do without my Zach Efron poster. It was the most treasured thing I owned. I remember the day i got the poster. It was my 6th birthday and my mom brought to my room a long coiled up paper. By the look of the present- I wasn’t excited. I slowly unwrapped the paper and as I saw his face my eyes lit up with joy. It had a picture of Zach Efron when he was in the movie High School Musical. While I had the poster, it was hung above my bed. That’s why I loved this poster. Without it my 6th birthday would not have been as exciting.

My Favorite Mistake

“Toeside, bend, jump, toeside, bend, jump.” Three words I had to understand to accomplish this task. This is it!

The boat engine starts. “Vvvrrrooomm” I causally plant my feet into my wakeboard. ” Toeside, bend, jump.” I take a second to look at my surrounding. The water caught my eye. I can see the reflection in the water of many kids on a rope swing screaming and shouting in a joyous manner. The murky lake water permeated the air. I think to myself “Focus Sallie Ann focus!” The boat jolts forward as I cling onto the rope for dear life. ” Toeside, bend, jump.” As the engine moves, I gravitate up. The wind is blowing through my hair as a cool breeze sweeps past me. ” Toeside, bend, jump.” Here it is- the jump. The moment of truth. I lean Toeside, a direction to the right, and now it’s time to bend- wait what?! SPLAT! I just fell.

Looking back on the time I made this mistake, I feel it gave me a big boost of confidence to keep trying. When those few words, ” Toeside, bend, jump.”, were all I can think about, it was overwhelming, so I lost my focus. After that mistake, I now see to stay clm and not get overwhelmed with the task at hand. This applies to everyday life.

Fall

Fall. The strong wind blows me over. The nice think smell of Seder fills the air. A blanket of leaves coat the ground. The leaves are changing from green to orange to red. The leaves start to shake and then slowly glide down until They hit the ground. The weather had a dramatic change to cool and breezy.

I have a half smile on my face, because I have a heart for fall, but I’m teary eyed that summer is gone.

Fall is sweet, calm, warm and cozy.

Gossiping Is Harmful

“Can you believe she did that.” Gossiping isn’t always true. And most times it is harmful.

One of the multiple reasons why gossiping is harmful is that people manipulate the story into something more dramatic and fake. For example one time my friend pushed me in a playful friendly way, but word got around that she beat me up. But the truth was all we were doing was paying. So next time you’re about to gossip think before you do.

In addition to the fake and manipulated story gossip travels quickly to your school- ENTIRE SCHOOL. For example that same story that started with one or two people ends up being hundreds. And the worst part is the story isn’t even true. So a person should think about the damage being done to people.

Just like in the movie Mean Girls, there group of friends that made a ” Burn Book”. In the book they judge and write mean and harmful thing about others. Hints the name of the movie… In the movie this book is harmful and gets around quickly.

Now I hope you see how gossiping can be very cruel and can spread very quickly.

The Race

The finish line just 5 feet away. My heart is pounding through my chest. My legs burn and shake. The sweat drips from my brow. My legs increase their pace to a sprint.

I can hear thumps behind me, so I leap across the red tape and the crowd roars.

New member

My family welcomed a new member into the family. She is rough, sweet, and furry – really furry. Her name is Sage. Although she may be a pain at times, she is my best friend.
